There are times when life seems to turn upside down—moments when the unexpected happens, and we’re left wondering why God would allow such trials to come our way. I remember vividly the day I lost my job. In the moment, it felt like a major setback, a roadblock that I wasn’t prepared for. Fear and uncertainty crept in, and I struggled to understand what God was doing.

This Psalm of David was one of confidence…confidence in the Lord. He says in this week’s verse that even if his mother and father forsake him, the Lord will take him up. As I was reading this psalm, I couldn’t help but think about babies and children abandoned by their parents.

Moses was a man that had a knowledge of God, right?  He knew Him in the sense that He got to see the glory of God pass right by him.  Scripture says he was literally covered by the physical hand of God until He passed by.  That gives me cold chills thinking about that encounter.  He actually saw God and knew He was real!  There was no denying that in his mind!

Jeremiah 32:39 says, “I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.” He is telling them here that they will be given a singleness of heart and action. That is a realigning of purposes and desires toward Him. We learn those purposes and our desires change when we study our Bibles and understand what He asks of us, not what the world asks of us. The only way to be able to walk in His truth is to KNOW HIS TRUTH!
